I don't understand where is the conflict here. The website above - ALIPAC - is "Americans for Legal Immigration". From what I read in their website, they want to stop illegal immigration and they support legal immigration. Unless they have a hidden agenda, they should be supporting IV's letter campaign.

How is this in conflict? Am I missing something?

That's because the existing cases have not had a chance to file their I-485 and therefore are not visible in that report. Does not mean they don't exist. My case is a perfect example of that. I'm not counted in that report but I certainly exist! :-)

pappu12-06 08:22 PMYes I had one pending and no RFE was received for either. My lawyer is expecting a notification from USCIS stating the second one is withdrawn.

Congratulations on getting GC.
I think the fact that you had same A# helped you despite multiple filings. There are cases of people where even though they have declared their second application, USCIS assigned them a second A# number.
Pls. Stick around in IV and help others with your knowledge.

shortchanged10-09 05:06 PMI also did send a second set on August 16th.For me and family we have already got EADs,AP and AOS receipts and are all finger printed.
I have also requested stop payments on the August checks,and had addressed"not to be opened in Mailroom-for Center Director" Explained to disregard the second set if my earlier filing on July2nd has already been accepted for processing.So far no further info.Will keep fingers crossed and see what happens!

The way i read that statement is that DOS is being cautious and don't want to move the dates way ahead at one go, dates will move by some degree in May and then bulletin will have projected dates for future months, this way if DOS sees demand from porting in Sept, it may not move EB2 dates at all...My 2C.

Yes, lets write to Secretary Napolitino. I will also send a copy of the letter to the first lady. I am not sure what else we can do besides that.

Once I get the sequence to call TSC using the POJ method, I will try calling them tomorrow.

rockyrock07-31 01:53 PMDue to un-avoidable confusion and uncertainity with the current lawyer, I think I have got no choice to file another 485 with the other pending I-140. Not doing so might result in the 1% chance that my current lawyer did not file 485 correctly. But I will withdraw one 485 application once I get both the receipt numbers. Hope all goes well.......any inputs?

I am told by the consulate that we do not need Transit Visas. My H1B Visa is expired and I am travelling on AP. Did any one hear differently?

Thats correct - they don't need transit visas - I did in mid-Dec, 2007 - absolutely no hassle. Also, I find Schipol one of the most pleasant airports in Europe (barring Munich).

Well good for you that you could use AP. We had AP ourselves, but I wanted to use the remaining H1B period, hence the big mistake. Now the only way to use AP is to withdraw our visa applications, get the passports, and fly back. I will resort to this ifthe passports are not returned by the coming weekend. Chennai consulate sucks!!
